Live...Dream... Work the Adventure! Cabela’s has an opening for a Floor Sales Coach in the Camping/Footwear * Department at our *Garner, NCretail store. Position Overview: Oversees all aspects of sales floor departments. Responsible for achieving sales and profit goals by promoting and fostering a selling culture. This position is responsible for maintaining quality knowledgeable sales associates, merchandising within departments, and maintaining floor inventory to increase sales and provide The 4 Most Focus for all customers.May be assigned to any one of the following areas: hunting, fishing, camping, footwear, clothing, gifts, general store, archery, marine or bargain cave.
Essential Job Functions:
Strong leadership on the floor helps build sales and customer loyalty. Assists customers on the floor during peak sales periods providing a positive influence on sales floor outfitters. Mentor outfitters on sales presentations and product applications keeping the 4 Most Focus as a key focus. Must have a basic knowledge of products that Cabela's carries.
Police store for customer issues, merchandising issues, Cleanliness, redistribute outfitters to busy areas, direct sales outfitters to cashier during busy hours, track sales, track Club Card referrals and applications, track customer traffic, and sales per customer.
Ensures that the department complies with all merchandising guidelines set by company policy. Supervises sales outfitters on a daily basis by walking areas and assigning work, check for compliance and work accuracy, check schedule and manage to payroll budget. Check floor stock levels on daily basis with outfitters.
Work both opening and closing shifts to distribute the work load. Opening and closing includes security duties. Prepares store for opening and closing by walking store and looking for merchandising issues, closing registers, Closing the Club Card Embossing Machine, supervise outfitters to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed.
Maintaining quality outfitters ensures 4 Most Focus is occurring in department for exceptional customer service and building sales. Interview and hire qualified candidates. Supervise new hire training, conduct performance reviews, document performance issues, and perform disciplinary action when necessary. Partner with senior leadership and HR on any disciplinary concerns. Review punch detail reports for policy infractions and perfect attendance.
Improves communication with supervisors and upper level management. Write weekly sales recaps, write ad recaps at end of major ad periods. Write any additional reports as assigned by supervisor. Attends store meetings and conference calls.
Ensures that we are in compliance with all Sarbox requirements. Prepare and review weekly and monthly reports and inventory documentation. Print weekly cycle count sheets, and assign cycle count sheets then check for compliance and accuracy. Check BRIO report weekly for accuracy and sign.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 to 4+ years retail management or sales experience.
- Familiarity with company products through outdoor related experience is beneficial.
